Maple Holistics: Jojoba Essential Oil REVIEW

Maple Holistics is a cruelty-free, all-natural company that sells personal care products such as the Jojoba Essential Oil, an oil that clears dirt from pores and controls sebum levels. To learn more about the Jojoba Essential Oil, then read this article.

Maple Holistics sent this product to the author of LeeNG Beauty for free for review purposes. Any opinions are the author’s own.

After trying and loving their Tea Tree Shampoo, I’ve decided to collaborate with Maple Holistics again.

Maple Holistics is a cruelty-free, all-natural company that sells personal care products encompassing hair care, bath and body, and health foods. Providing high-quality, natural products for better hygiene and health, they use the purest ingredients to maximize the therapeutic abilities of their products. In addition to being cruelty-free and all-natural, Maple Holistics’ products are sulfate-free, made in the USA, and even safe for color-treated hair.

Customer service is a top priority for Maple Holistics and they stand behind a hassle-free, a hundred percent money back guarantee. So, if not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it for a full refund or exchange it. They even offer a free samples program that you can sign up for to receive a free sample and once registered, keep an eye on your inbox for information about also receiving a full-size product for free as well.

The product they sent me that I’m going to talk about is the Jojoba Essential Oil. Costing $8.97 USD for a two-ounce bottle, the Jojoba Essential Oil is a hundred-percent all natural and pure jojoba oil. This is perfect for oily and acne-prone skin types as it removes dirt from pores and helps control sebum levels, while also softening skin.

It can be used as a cleanser, makeup remover, or in conjunction with a skin treatment such as derma-rolling, but I personally use it as a moisturizer. I’ve been wanting to try jojoba oil for some time now because not only do I have oily, acne-prone skin, it’s also incredibly sensitive as well. I can’t use most skincare products that are widely available — it must be natural and/or organic. In addition to that, I have a hard time finding any moisturizers and skin oils that don’t cause breakouts nor sit on my skin.

Skin results of Jojoba Essential Oil after using for two weeks.

After using it for several weeks, I can say that I love it. Out of all the moisturizers and oils I’ve used, this is one of two that I had not experienced an adverse reaction to and worked well with my skin. I love that it absorbs quickly — a lot of moisturizing products I’ve used don’t seem to absorb completely or take an insanely long time. I’d apply them before I go to sleep and wake up with a face still covered in whatever I used. But my skin will suck up the Jojoba Essential Oil before my head hits the pillow, waking up in the morning to soft, supple skin. Since starting it, I’ve seen an overall improvement in my skin - not just my acne.

I take little-to-no bare-face pictures because on top of what I’ve already mentioned, I have enlarged pores, blackheads, redness, scarring, and blue-undertones from black facial hair (not cute). My skin may not seem that bad in these pictures, but they're more noticeable face-to-face and my imperfections tend to be magnified due to how pale I am. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of what my bare skin looked like right before using the Jojoba Essential Oil. However, I did include some unedited pictures of me (in makeup with different levels of coverage) where you can still see my skin flaws, even with makeup on.

Before using Jojoba Essential Oil. Face with full-coverage stick foundation, concealer, and two layers of powder.

Before using Jojoba Essential Oil. Skin with sheer-coverage mineral powder foundation and concealer.

And this is what my skin looks like now. I do have some freckles and scarring, but there is a visible decrease in skin texture and my pores do look significantly smaller - you’d have to get up-close and personal for them to plainly see them and are nonexistent at my typical photo-taking distance. Before, if I were just talking with someone face-to-face, they could make out the individual pores.

Skin results after using the Jojoba Essential Oil for four weeks. The best lighting for up-close pictures
(without my picture-taking hand casting shadows) is the window behind my bed that I had to lay down for.
