Established in 2015, Raw Chemistry is a skin and personal care brand that produces supplements, pheromone-infused perfume and cologne, and organic beauty products. They’re dedicated to creating high-quality products with proven effectiveness.
Raw Chemistry had sent me their Revival Moisturizer Essential Vitamin Creme, a natural and vegan face moisturizer. Costing 25.00 USD, Revival is aloe-based and comprised of ingredients essential for skin hydration such as avocado and jojoba oil, rosehip, carrot, and organic neem oil. Revival was created for all skin types, but most helpful to those with dry skin. It also helps balance out oily skin and reduce grease and oil buildup. Can be used morning or at night but recommended to be used at night after toner. Best results occur within two weeks, but many users see results in three days.
The first thing I noticed about the product was the packaging. It’s never really been an aspect that I paid much attention to, but it’s quite nice and luxurious in a way that is still minimalistic.
Moving on to the actual moisturizer, Revival is a thick cream formula that goes a long way. Not a lot of product is needed to cover the face — one or two dabs should be fine.
I used it day and night, but I personally prefer to apply it right after getting out of the shower or before doing my makeup. My skin is more on the oily side, but it gets rather dry after showering and I also wash my face in the shower.
There weren’t really any issues with Revival, which I didn’t expect any based on its ingredients and being a natural skincare product. For the most part, I stick to natural or organic products for daily skincare because I’m sensitive to products containing too many synthetics.
With Revival, I actually saw a reduction in acne on my cheeks where it’s the most problematic. At first, I did have some reservations about the Revival Moisturizer because of it being a cream. It’s not an actual problem — I just don’t like how creams can feel greasy on my face, which is a pet peeve of mine. But I didn’t run into that issue, and my skin soaks it right up leaving my face feeling hydrated and supple.
